Know what you actually earn
Freelance income rarely arrives in neat monthly amounts. One month brings three payments at once, the next brings almost nothing, and it's hard to tell from your bank balance whether the year is going well. This template keeps a running total of everything you've earned this year, so the answer is always one glance away.
Income against your target
Set a monthly income target and the progress bar shows how close you are. A slow month is obvious early, while there's still time to pitch a new project or follow up with a client, instead of becoming a surprise at the end of the month.
The trend behind the months
The monthly graph turns irregular income into a pattern. Seasonal dips, your best months and whether your income is growing year over year all become visible, which makes it easier to plan time off, raise your rates or decide when to take on more work.
See which clients you depend on
The client chart shows where your income actually comes from. If one client makes up a large share of what you earn, losing them would hurt, and it's a sign to find more clients before you need them.
Every payment in one place
The income log is the record behind every other number: when you were paid, who paid you, for which project and how much. Add a row each time a payment lands and your totals, trends and client breakdown stay up to date.
Make it yours
Set the monthly target to your own number, replace the clients with yours, and log your payments as they arrive. Add a widget for anything else you want to keep an eye on, like money set aside for tax.
